Liaison members represent some specific sector in the community [such as the Town or the School or any other] and can be either Director or Associate as they choose.

As well as departments and services in The Town of New Shoreham (the municipality that encompasses Block Island) there are at least 30 non-profit organizations in Block Island. We know that every one contributes to our community, benefits our community. We would like to work together with others.

A liaison member of the coalition will bring knowledge, talent and skill from their group to the coalition, and in turn can tell them about what we do, to widen awareness and help the work of each. They can be Directors of the Wellness Coalition, or, can be an associate who stays in touch and attends meetings when the agenda is of interest to the sector they represent.
