All Block Island residents and visitors are invited to any or all of the events, to drop in, ask questions, offer your views

Friday 17th May

7.00 – 9.00 pm. Opening Reception – refreshments

TED talk –  Charisse Nixon What Adolescents Need to Thrive.
An invited panel from BI community will respond, followed by audience discussion.

Saturday 18th May

9.30 am            Breakfast

10 – 12.00 am   Key Introductory Symposium – Jeffery Hunt, MD, Director, Inpatient and Intensive Services, Bradley Hospital, Providence.

12.15 -1.15 pm Lunch Break

1.30 – 3.30 pm Parenting the Adolescent Brain – Liz Jorgensen, CADC, Director, Insight Counselling, Ridgefield, CT.

3.30– 5.00pm   Community Round Table – moderator Marguerite Donnelly

This is a group meeting with a panel open to public consultation, responding to community questions, hearing concerns for the Mental Health of Children and Families and enabling answers to: What do we already do on BI? What would we like to do in the future?

The Ross Campbell Memorial Award will be presented at the start of the Round Table.
